Agreed terminology for the different response modalities:
After multiple rounds of extensive consultations - with key partners and forums - the humanitarian leadership is happy to confirm the following agreed terminology will henceforth be used consistently for HPC related products:
- Syria HCT Coordinated Response to designate humanitarian assistance delivered from areas controlled by the Government of Syria, including to North-East Syria;
- Syria Cross-Border HLG Coordinated Response to designate humanitarian assistance delivered cross-border from Turkey, including that provided by the United Nations as authorized by UN Security Council resolutions 2449 (2018), 2504 (2020) and 2533 (2020), or from areas of north-west Syria controlled by non-state armed groups;
- NES NGO Forum Coordinated Response to designate humanitarian assistance delivered by NGOs cross-border from Iraq or from areas of north-east Syria controlled by local authorities.”
