During the March 2021 CH results presentation, the Federal Government of Nigeria approved the expansion of CH process through Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (FMARD) to the remaining 20 States (Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Edo, Ekiti, Enugu, Imo, Kogi, Kwara,Lagos, Nassarawa, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Oyo & Rivers ) in Nigeria.
FMARD and partners decided to take the CH expansion process in phases with Abia, Cross River, Edo, Enugu and Lagos state to be in the first phase.
