Food Security Sector SO2 Gap Analysis – February 2022

In February 2022, Food security sector partners have assisted around 252,392 people with agricultural livelihoods interventions in the three most affected North-East states.  The findings from FAO/partners Rapid Agricultural Livelihoods Need Assessments in the areas of return indicate that the key livelihood challenges are access to agricultural inputs, land accessibility (women disproportionally affected), palpable fear of attacks by insurgents, the existence of Unexploded Ordinances (UXOs), and access to production inputs.
