During the reporting period of December 2018, a total of 3,548,923 unique people were supported with food security interventions in Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa states, 1.4 million of which were supported with food assistance and 2.2 million were with agriculture and livelihood assistance. Among them, more than 0.4 million individuals received both forms of assistance. The sector continues to engage partners in dry season agriculture activity coordination and follow up on post-harvest activities from the past rainy season. Partners have been scaling up interventions to improve safe access to fuel and energy (SAFE) activities, including supporting local production of fuel-efficient stoves and following distribution and SAFE training.
