In April 2023, the food security sector assisted 1.9 million people with food assistance and around 122 thousand people in agricultural    livelihood support. Out of all FSS-assisted people, 69 percent (1,293,328) received food assistance and 30 percent (36,117) received agriculture livelihood support through cash voucher assistance (CVA). A total of 21 national non-governmental, international non-governmental organizations, and UN agencies used various delivery mechanisms. The delivery mechanisms were cash payments, mobile money transfers, paper vouchers, and electronic vouchers. Out of the three states, Borno state hosts 86 percent of the CVA beneficiaries, While Yobe state hosted 13.9 percent and Adamawa state had 0.1 percent.
