In September 2022, the Food Security Sector assisted 2,069,417 individuals with food assistance (SO1) and 957,635 individuals for agriculture & livelihoods (SO2), of whom 67% (1,399,717) and 11% (109,038) received support through Cash Voucher Assistance (CVA) for SO1 and SO2 respectively.  Twenty-nine organizations, includes national, international NGOs and UN agencies, used different transfer delivery mechanisms, such as cash in hand, mobile money transfers, paper vouchers, and electronic vouchers.

In terms of the caseloads, Borno state hosted the highest caseload, approximately 77% of the CVA beneficiaries, compared to 21% and 2% in Yobe and Adamawa states, respectively.
