  • 58 partners implemented SO1, SO2 and SO3 activities in northwest Syria (NWS) in October 2020.
  • FSL partners have provided food assistance according to the following coverage on number of People in Need (PIN) reached out in October 2020: 
    • 6 sub-districts (out of 36 sub-districts in NWS) from 100% to 76% PIN,
    • 6 sub-districts from 75% to 51% PIN,
    • 13 sub-districts from 50% to 26% PIN, and 
    • 11 sub-districts were covered by less than 25% PIN.
  • 1.69M beneficiaries were assisted by the distribution of 333K food baskets.
  • 1.6M beneficiaries were reached by bread and flour distributions.
  • 256K beneficiaries received Emergency Food Rations.
  • Nearly 32K households (HHs) received a total amount of 1,607,500 USD as vouchers for food (about 50 USD per HH), while 3.9K HHs received 196,700 USD as cash for food. 
  • 1.16M beneficiaries were supported by programs on agriculture, livestock, irrigation and livelihoods assistance over 10 months (from January to October 2020).
  • In December 2020, the FSL Cluster has conducted seven online meetings with FSL partners (3 Area Coordination Groups, Agriculture TWG, Livestock TWG, Bread and Bakery CG, and FSL Cluster Monthly Meeting) in addition to training on Cash and Voucher Assistance in partnership with the Cash Working Group (CWG), the weekly team meetings, Turkish Red Crescent (TRC) meeting, and the online Inter Cluster Coordination Group (ICCG) led by OCHA.
