SECURITY SECTOR DASHBOARD - AUGUST 2020

During August 2020, about 3.4 million people were supported with Food Security Interventions in Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa States. About 1.6 million of them were assisted with Emergency Food Assistance, and 1.8 million Agricultural Livelihoods Support. Food prices have continued to increase significantly due to deteriorated macro-economic conditions, seasonality due to the peak of the lean season, insecurity, and extended effects of the COVID-19 restrictions according to FSS partners. The Sector Partners providing Emergency Food Assistance through Cash Voucher Assistance (CVA) increased the food basket transfer Values according to ensure households can access the minimum food requirements.
