During January 2020, the sector partners have assisted around 67,000 individuals with agriculture and livelihood interventions in the three most affected north-east states of Nigeria. Partners continued to monitor the crop growth following the rainy season agriculture campaign. At the same time, the dry season farming activities are ongoing, targeting over 35,500 HHs who have access to land and water for irrigation. Dialogues with the authorities informed that wet-blended NPK fertilizer (brown particles) is allowed for transportation and distribution for the dry season. The sector has started the coordination among partners for 2020 rainy season farming campaign planning to ensure complementarity among the different actors from the planning stage.
