Food Security Sector Cash Dashboard - April 2021

In April 2021, under SO1 (Food Assistance), 88% (993,066) were reached through Cash Voucher Assistance (CVA) and under SO2 (Agric Livelihoods), 12% (132,795) were reached through CVA. Twenty-five organizations, including national and international NGOs and UN agencies, applied various transfer delivery mechanisms, such as cash in hand, mobile money transfers, paper vouchers and electronic vouchers. Borno state hosts the highest caseload, approximately 89% of the CVA beneficiaries, compared to 10% and 1% in Yobe and Adamawa states, respectively.

Partners implementing Emergency Food Assistance through CVA are to continue to include the 2,000 Naira as part of the food basket.

Food prices have continued to increase. Partners are monitoring the Minimum Expenditure Basket for Food in various markets in areas of implementation to guide decision making on the Transfer Value.
