Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine on 24th February 2022 has substantially impacted and undermined the economy and livelihoods across Ukraine. It has also severely impacted the country's agricultural sector, which is vital for food security, livelihoods, and economic development. The Agriculture and Livelihood Technical Working Group (ALTWG) formed in 2025 by a merge of formerly Agriculture TWG and Livelihood TWG following reprioritization in April 2025 to provide technical guidance on agriculture-related matters and serve as a platform for livelihoods discussions between NGOs and all stakeholders involved in agriculture/livelihood activities, harmonizing and standardizing approaches. ALTWG serves for promoting best practices and the adherence to international humanitarian standards and conducting capacity-building initiatives for partners.
