Food insecurity risks further deterioration in South Sudan - Impact of Sudan conflict

  • $ 403 million are urgently needed for the Food Security and Livelihood Cluster to operate.
  • 7,76 million people are acutely food insecure
  • 3,5 million people are currently assisted
  • 10% of them receive enough food for 3 weeks only 
  • 90% of them recevie enough food for 2 weeks only
  • The conflict in Sudan is disrupting furhter already scarce food security conditions: more needs will incur more costs
  • The FSL partners are stretching further their already very thin resources. 
  • Millions of people in need risk to remain without food  or livelihood assistance
