In October 2022, the sector partners have assisted 1 million people with agricultural livelihoods interventions in the BAY states out of the 3.5M targeted people. This is the lowest assistance provided since 2016. The largest gap identified remains in Adamawa State (81%), followed by Yobe State (71%), and Borno State (66%). The gap in agriculture livelihood support is about 2.5 million people. This implies there is a significant agricultural livelihoods gaps in BAY states.

The sector strongly recommends dry season support to households to take advantage of the residual water available to produce.
