Food Security Sector Dashboard - September 2022

In September 2022, 2,069,417 people were supported with emergency food assistance, and 957,635 with agricultural livelihoods support in BAY states by food security sector Partners. Heavy rains accompanied by strong winds have caused flooding across the BAY leading to loss of lives, displacements, loss of livestock, and unundation of croplands.  According to the Automatic Disaster Analysis & Mapping (ADAM) for October 2022 it is estimated that around 147,549 hectares of cropland has been affected.

SEMA with the support of OCHA and the sectors have conducted intersectoral Flooding Multi-Sector Rapid Needs Assessment working closely working with the Assessment Working Group in Adamwa and Yobe Staet to determine the urgent intersectororal needs.
