Food Security Sector Dashboard - November 2020

In November 2020, about 4.4million people were supported with Food Security Interventions in Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa States. About 1.9 million of them were supported with Emergency Food Assistance, and 2.4 million Agricultural Livelihoods Support. These include the COVID-19 scale-up activities by partners. According to October 2020 Cadre Harmonisé (CH), the number of food insecure population is 3.4M (October to December). This temporarily reduces from the 4.3 Million People In Need as a result of COVID-19 and related effects during the peak of the lean season. The reduction in the number of People In Need during this period is attributed to the ongoing harvests. Systemic bottlenecks impacting operations include transport delays primarily related to security challenges on various roads. Communal asset creation activities have been limited by COVID-19 restrictions.
