During May 2022, 1,171,025 people were supported with emergency food assistance, and 351,147 with agricultural livelihoods support in BAY states by Food Security Partners.
Following the end of the scale-up of the lean season efforts of 2021, the government and humanitarian partners of people reached has been significantly reduced, from 2.7 million to approximately 1.2 million, this is largely due to funding limitations and increase in number of people in need due to different factors. This has left a gap of 2.9 million people for food assistance and 3.2 million people for agricultural livelihood support, which is the largest since the start of the CH analysis in late 2016.
The Sector continues to advocate for all actors to coordinate with the various sectors in the joint sectoral implementation of various activities whenever feasible.
