FOOD SECURITY SECTOR DASHBOARD -JUNE 2020

During June 2020, a total of 2.9 million people were supported with food security interventions in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe (BAY) states, with about 1.9 million supported with Emergency Food Assistance, and over 1 million with Agricultural Livelihoods Support. Due to COVID 19 pandemic and related effects, an additional about 600,000 people are food insecure in the BAY states, according to Cadre Harmonisé (CH) Update conducted in June 2020. This brings the total number of people in need from 3.7 to 4.3 million. Key effects of the pandemic include disruptions in the market functionality and livelihood activities
