Reprioritization is not a drill: 24.2 million acute food insecure people are at risk of being unassisted

In the face of an unprecedented funding crisis, Food Security Cluster partners stepped up to prioritize food and food production assistance to address the most pressing needs among the population already grappling with IPC Phase 3 (Crisis) and worse conditions. Partners remain concerned over the significant amount of people at risk of receiving no assistance.

A total of 24.2 million people - Almost 1 in 4 - suffering ACUTE hunger were excluded from the hyper-prioritized target compared to the initially already limited HRP target of 104 million people.
