Launch of the Global Humanitarian Appeal 2017

The UN and partners launched today the Global Humanitarian Overview 2017, a consolidated appeal to support people affected by disaster and conflict around the world.

A record US$22.2 billion is needed to help 92.8 million people in 33 countries. This appeal - the largest in the history of the United Nations - will support vital humanitarian operations in some of the world's worst crises.
