The regional Pacific Food Security Cluster had been developing a Pacific Information Management Toolkit, to support national clusters/committees in the food security, agriculture and livelihoods sector to expand their information management (IM) abilities.
A key component of this Toolkit is the Coordination & Monitoring Report Tool. This Tool is an adaptation of the global Food Security Cluster 5Ws template (the 5Ws being a tool developed by UNOCHA to support cluster coordination and monitoring). The Coordination & Monitoring Report Tool has been specifically designed to match to Pacific needs, providing the essential information decision-makers need in emergency responses.
Each national cluster/committee supported by the regional Pacific Food Security Cluster has received a tailor-made data entry template, complete with video tutorials guiding those completing the data entry. The intent is for focal points managing cluster IM to be able to share this template and videos with cluster/committee members, who will enter data and return it to the IM focal point.
The IM focal point then compiles the data and completes the analysis. The Pacific IM Toolkit provides templates and video tutorials guiding this whole process.
