Food Security Sector: Food Assistance (SO1) Gap Analysis, March 2024

In March 2024, sector partners assisted 1 million people with food assistance (through in-kind or CVA) in Nigeria's three most affected North-East states. The most significant gap identified was in Adamawa State (100%), followed by Yobe State (88%) and Borno State (61%), based on the respective number of people in need of assistance. Considering the 2024 projected number of people in need, this indicates a significant food assistance gap of 3.8 million people in the BAY states.
