Food Security Sector Agricultural Livelihoods (SO2) Gap Analysis Fenruary 2024

Since 2020, the assistance going towards agricultural livelihoods has consistently reduced year on year, despite the increased opportunities and demand for livelihood support by the affected population. 

In February 2024, the sector partners assisted 23 thousands of people with agricultural livelihood interventions in the BAY states out of the 2.2 M targeted people. A significant gap identified remains in Adamawa, Yobe and Borno States (100 percent). Based on the people in need, the gap in agriculture livelihood support is 4.4 million people based on the 2024 lean season projected people in need.
