Global Partners Meeting, 2026

The global Food Security Cluster will be hosting a session, open to all global partners to discuss “People left behind in 2026: ,lessons learned from 2026 HPC and the overall data ecosystem to identify gaps in data coverage”.

The overall objective of the session is to bring awareness on the number of people left behind from assistance due to hyper-prioritization and to discuss modalities to ensure that much needed support is extended to these affected people. Data coverage limitations may hinder the basic identification of people in need: for this reason,   understanding funding and access challenges affecting needs assessment and analysis is of the outmost importance. Partners inputs will be crucial to improve the HPC 2027 process.

The global food security cluster is also aiming to develop a concrete advocacy paper related to the impact of the current Middle East crisis, in particular the closure of the strait of Hormuz, on partners’ ability to address food insecurity and prevent famine
