The global Food Security Cluster´s (gFSC) Strategic Plan (2017-2019) was created by the gFSC partners’ and Cluster Coordinators ideas, discussions and vision about the future of Food Security Cluster Coordination. It builds on achievements against the previous strategic plan as well as on the commitments made during the World Humanitarian Summit and the Grand Bargain. This is a forward-looking document that details the strategic means for the global Food Security Cluster and country clusters to increase coordination performances within and beyond the sector. The Strategic Plan will leave room for responding to the in-country Food Security Clusters’, the gFSC partners’ and the affected people’s needs. It is organized around the following four results:
Result 1 – Strengthened effectiveness of food security coordination systems at country level
Result 2 – Enhanced partnerships and collaborative initiatives at global level
Result 3 – Scaled-up advocacy, communication, resource mobilisation and humanitarian systems policy
Result 4 – Fostered programmatic approach to coordination action
