From the displaced Rohingyas in Bangladesh to the ongoing conflicts in the Sahel Region, 2019 was marked by the heavy impacts of the climate change. Mozambique and Zimbabwe witnessed two of the strongest tropical cyclones to make landfall since modern records began. Between March and April they were hit by Cyclone Idai and Cyclone Kenneth. The cyclones also caused significant damage in the Comoro Islands and Tanzania.
