E-learning: Introduction to Inter-Cluster Coordination

We are pleased to inform you of the launch of a new e-learning course in English entitled ‘An Introduction to Inter-Cluster Coordination’, accessible on the OCHA Learn platform. We are also working on other language versions (French, Arabic and Spanish) which we hope to launch in the coming month.

Inter-cluster coordination is critical in ensuring an effective and holistic response to the needs of people we serve. The course is primarily aimed at members of ICCGs, including cluster coordinators. In line with the collaborative nature of inter-cluster coordination, it was developed by a task team of representatives from the global clusters and the Global Cluster Coordination Group (GCCG) secretariat/OCHA, and field tested with a number of cluster and inter-cluster coordinators, who shared important feedback.

The self-paced online module takes approximately 90 minutes to complete and contains key guidance, interactive learning activities and videos from various coordinators in the field on their experiences of inter-cluster coordination. It is made up of three main parts, covering the humanitarian system and cluster approach, the work and roles of inter-cluster coordination groups and sub-national inter-cluster coordination.

We hope you will find this course useful, and as always, we look forward to your valuable feedback on ways in which it can be further improved.

Finally, we would also appreciate if you could disseminate this message widely to all cluster members and humanitarian partners who may be interested in this course.
