Cyclones response to Chido, Dikeledi & Jude

On 15 December, Cyclone Chido hit Mozambique with over 250 mm of rain in 24 hours and winds up to 120 km/h. By 16 December, it moved into Malawi and Tete Province, dissipating in Zimbabwe on 17 December. In Cabo Delgado, Mecufi, Metuge, Chiure, and Pemba were heavily affected, along with Namuno, Montepuez, and Balama, impacting 272,000 people. Cyclone Dikeledi struck south of Ilha de Mocambique in Nampula on 13 January, re-entering the Mozambique Channel via Angoche the next day. Mossuril recorded 247mm of rain on 14 January, followed by Muecate (240.1mm) and Nampula (210.4mm), with winds up to 150 km/h and gusts of 180 km/h. Assessments estimate 283,334 people affected. On 11 March, Cyclone Jude became a severe tropical storm in Nampula, affecting northern and central Mozambique with up to 100mm of rain in 24 hours across nine provinces. At least 747,000 people are at high risk.
