One of the key decisions made by the gFSC partners during the December 2015 global partners’ meeting was to establish a Strategic Advisory Group (SAG). With support from an Ad Hoc Committee, gFSC drafted an initial Term of Reference, which was presented and endorsed during the gFSC global partners meeting in June 2016.
The current gFSC - SAG is composed of 10 members who represent the following organisations: Catholic Relief Services (CRS), Welthungerhilfe (WHH), Plan International, World Vision International – as INGOs - Palestinian Agriculture Relief Committee (PARC) and Action Against Disasters Somalia (AADSOM) – as NNGOs - in addition to the Cluster lead agencies, FAO & WFP and the Global Cluster Coordinators. The latest SAG elections were held in November 2025, and the National NGOs entered the SAG in June 2026. Terms of Reference and minutes of the SAG meetings are accessible online.
The SAG meets on a monthly basis online and in presence once a year. All minutes and discussions are also accessible online (below).
