A one-day training on “Energy, environment and people-centered 1 approaches orientation” was organized in Maiduguri, Borno State, on Wednesday 4th April 2018 by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in partnership with the Food Security Sector Nigeria and its Safe Access and Fuel Energy Working Group (SAFE WG).
This activity was carried out within the framework of the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection department (ECHO) funded Sustainable Energy Technologies for Food Security initiative(SET4Food) 2 . This initiative contributes to address the energy-related needs of the 1.78 million IDPs due to the ongoing conflict in Northeast Nigeria, 54% of which are women.
