As of August 2018, FSS partners have assisted almost 1.7 million individuals with agriculture and livelihood interventions in the three most affected north-east states of Nigeria. Against the 2018 HRP target for Strategic Objective 2 (Agriculture and Livelihood), in August, partners have reached 55% of the target (2.9 million individuals to be assisted by the end of 2018). The largest gap identified is in Yobe State with approximately 0.5 million beneficiaries not reached; in Adamawa State, 0.4 million people were not reached; and Borno State recorded a total of 0.2 million individuals not reached during the reporting period. Where security allows, food assistance should be complemented with increasing agriculture and livelihood activities to support access to productive assets and income generating activities.
