During May 2018, the FSS partners assisted about 1.9 million individuals with food assistance (through in-kind distribution or cash based transfers) in the three most affected north-east states of Nigeria. Against the 2018 HRP target for Strategic Objective1 (Food Assistance) target, in May, sector partners have reached 51% of the target (3.7 million individuals to be assisted monthly). The largest gap identified is in Adamawa state with approximately 764,000 beneficiaries not reached, while in Yobe state, 627,000 people were not reached and Borno state recorded a 365,000 gap, however, needs are still present at lower administrative levels and sites/camps.
