During the reporting period of April 2018, a total of 3,675,597 unique people were assisted in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe states with food assistance and/or agriculture & livelihood support. Among them, a total of 93,759 individuals benefitted from both types of assistance. The sector is further coordinating partners to ensure a synchronized approach of intervention to ensure the food insecure people that are being targeted with rainy season seed distribution will also be provided with food assistance to protect the seeds from being sold or bartered, and to support farmers during the lean season.
