Demystify Humanitarian Financing

Dear friends, colleagues and partners,

At ICVA, we are excited to announce the launch of our new Humanitarian Learning Stream initiative. Specifically targeting NGO staff, humanitarian learning streams will support NGO staff to better understand and engage in the humanitarian sector. Each learning stream, lasting between three to six months, will involve a series of webinars, short videos and short briefing papers.

The first humanitarian learning stream, commencing in September, will demystify humanitarian financing for NGOs.

Over the coming months, we will unpack and discuss overall humanitarian financing flows and trends. Through a series of dedicated topics, we will highlight and discuss the challenges, opportunities and experiences of NGOs accessing humanitarian funding – including from the UN, bi-lateral, private funding, and pooled funding.

Our first webinar, to be held in partnership with PHAP, will take place on September 15, from 10.30am – 12.00pm (Geneva time). Bringing together humanitarian financing experts from OECD, Development Initiatives and World Vision International, the webinar will discuss the overall humanitarian financing landscape, discussing the current reality and emerging trends for NGOs in humanitarian financing.
