Food Security Sector SO2 Gap Analysis – December 2022

In December 2022, the sector partners have assisted 1 million people with agricultural livelihood interventions in the BAY states out of the 3.5M targeted people. This is the lowest assistance provided since 2016, despite significantly increased demand for livelihoods support by the affected population and the relative increase in land access as indicated by various community feedback, government and non-government reports including satellite  The largest gap identified remains in Adamawa State (79percent), followed by Yobe State (67percent), and Borno State (62percent). The gap in agriculture livelihood support is about 2.5 million people. This implies there is a significant agricultural livelihoods gaps in BAY states
