In February 2023, Sector partners assisted 1.6 million people with food assistance (through in-kind or CVA) in the three most affected North-East states of Nigeria. The largest gap identified remains in Adamawa State (88 percent), followed by Yobe State (77 percent), and Borno State (44 percent) according to their respective people in need of assistance. This implies significant food assistance gaps in BAY states. The food assistance gap in the BAY states is 2.5 million people.
