Food Security Sector SO1 Gap Analysis – July 2020

During July 2020, Sector partners assisted around 1.4 million individuals with food assistance (through in-kind or CVA) in the three most affected North-East states of Nigeria. The largest gap identified remains in Adamawa State, followed by Yobe State and Borno State.  There has also been delays in dispathing food to deep-field LGAs due to deteriorated roads as a result of the rain season and challenges with procuring food. Food access especially in urban and peri-urban areas has been affected by the significant increase in food prices.
