Food Security Sector: Food Assistance (SO1) Gap Analysis - February 2024

In February 2024, Sector partners assisted 1 million people with food assistance (through in-kind or CVA) in Nigeria's three most affected North-East states. The most significant gap identified remains in Adamawa State (100 percent), followed by Yobe State (87 percent), and Borno State (61 percent) according to their respective people in need of assistance.

Using the 2024 projected number of people in need, this implies significant food assistance gaps in BAY states. Based on the people in need, the food assistance gap in the BAY states is 3.8 million people.
